Tokyo, Japan, 18 July, 2025 – The SJC2 consortium (*1) announced today with NEC Corporation (NEC; TSE: 6701) the completion of construction and the start of operations for the Southeast Asia-Japan Cable 2 (SJC2), a high-capacity optical submarine cable connecting the Asia region. SJC2 is a high-capacity optical submarine cable system connecting 10 locations across the Asia. ARTERIA Networks Corporation (Headquarter: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director, President: Tatsuya Abe, hereinafter referred to as ARTERIA) announced the signing of a contract with NEC Corporation (NEC; TSE: 6701) to build the Asia United Gateway East (AUG East) submarine cable system.
