Local Fiber Infrastructure

Although Malta does not produce fiber optic cables, it has developed an extensive domestic fiber network. Telecom operator GO plc completed a nationwide fiber rollout, connecting over 371,000 homes across Malta and Gozo with ultra-fast internet, laying more than 10,800 km of fiber-optic cables and over 3,200 km of ducts and tubing .
